AirFair's first attempt to raise funds to further its
goals was a success! The wine-tasting event at Newport Beach Vineyard
on Mesa Drive was held in order to pay for communications with concerned citizens through newsletters and to
help pay for a lawyer to guide AirFair and SPON through the
negotiation process. (Negotiation of the expiring 2015 Settlement
Agreement is right around the corner.) The party was fun and festive.
More than 100 people bought tickets to the event and several groups and individuals made additional donations.
The
event was partially underwritten by Barefoot Wines, Carolyn Stoaks,
Maureen McCarthey, Newport Vineyard, The Rush Hill Family, and The
Reynolds Family.
